THE OSSUARY INC.

We ensure a safe home and dignified transition for those who have given themselves for scientific advancement. The Ossuary strives to return all prior specimens to their intended usage or retire them (permanently) with the dignity they deserve. We also collect and scatter unwanted or unclaimed cremains.

I am a Licensed Minister, and my much better-looking counterpart is a Registered Nurse. Together we started collecting quackery, antique medical devices, religious relics and other unusual items. One day on our journeys we found "Tyler", a vintage medical teaching skull, and he spoke to us. For the next 2 years we thought of him and visited him often, saddened that a human skull was just sitting in the back of a store and not at rest or being utilized as a teaching aid like he should have been. To us this wasn’t fair. We believe when someone donates their body to science for the betterment of mankind that your donation of self is sacred, and you deserve more than to be some novelty in a store. You deserve to be honored and treated with dignity and respect until you find your way to rest permanently.

We believe in these values so strongly that The Ossuary was born from our own pockets and the love and faith of other Organizations that believed in our mission - to secure these souls from being on the bone market and return them to their proper usage where they will be cared for, maintained, and utilized as teaching aids and then placed at rest in our Cemetery as their needs warrant.....and I had a whole Covid lockdown to focus on our mission.

At The Ossuary the skeletons are safe from desecration. They are never treated as a product. They are never for sale or rented out as props. Here, they are home and loved as family, and given proper care. Sometimes it is overwhelming. We were not expecting the wonderful blessings that have been bestowed upon us and we are operating out of our home for now all while trying to share our journey with everyone. We have bigger goals because of all of it. We hope with a 501(c)3 status we will eventually move The Ossuary into its own church building and expand our operations to better serve the Community, the needs of the skeletons and the Scientific/Educational Community we support.

We provide a variety of services including but not limited to, Educational Displays, Articulations, Specimen restoration, Dignified transfers, Cremains scattering, and we even minister weddings!
